The date for the highly anticipated BFA Awards ceremony has been announced for the 2022-2023 SeniorMen's football season and the Summer 2022 Senior Women's football season. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall in Hamilton.
The BFA Awards celebrate excellence in football and recognize the outstanding performances of players, coaches, and referees in three divisions, including the Premier Division, FirstDivision, and Women's Division. During the ceremony, eight categories will be awarded, including Leading Goal Scorer, Defensive Player of the Year,Goalkeeper of the Year, Fair Play, Young Player of the Year, Player of the Year– MVP, Coach of the Year, and Referee of the Year. The Order of Merit and Legends honorees for 2023will also be recognized and acknowledged during the ceremony.
The nominees for each category are first submitted by each full member club in their respective divisions. Then, the club coaches rank the nominees from 1 to 3, with 1 being their top choice in a respective category. It's important to note that clubs are not allowed to select their own nominee during the final voting round.
One winner will be selected from each division for each of the eight categories, making for a total of 24 awards to be presented during the ceremony.

Football fans across the island are invited to attend the ceremony, which promises to be a night of celebration and recognition for the outstanding performances and contributions made in the2022-2023 Senior Men's and Summer 2022 Senior Women's football seasons.
