BAA Introduce Family Zone

July 6, 2023

BAA launched its new Family Zone at Goose Gosling Field on Friday night as part of their initiative to promote a family friendly environment at games so parents are comfortable bringing the whole family out to support their team.

President Mike McGrath said “We want to welcome everyone to Goose Gosling field and noticed a reluctance of parents to bring their children to the games. Setting up a dedicated area for families seemed like an ideal solution which you find at top level clubs in the English Premiership. The Family zone has a no smoking, alcohol or cursing policy to keep the environment suitable for children.

BAA have dedicated bleachers placed at halfway to provide great views of the field with signage to remind people they are in a family zone. As the popularity of the Family zone grows, they can add additional bleachers and hope that our only worry is running out of bleachers.

BAA have a young squad and this initiative aims to allow brothers, sisters and cousins to come out and see them playing in the league. A lot of their players are also coaches and BFC’s youth programs so this gives the young players the chance to watch their coaches in action.

The Family zone will be brought out every weekend for all games so that all supporters can enjoy the family environment whether they are BAA, Robin Hood, Dandy Town or Boulevard home supporters or visiting fans. BAA invite everyone to the club and hope that you enjoy your match day experience.”
