On Saturday, May 11th, Member Clubs of the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) were presented with an assortment of football equipment as part of Concacaf’s Club Licensing Incentive Program. After reviewing the documentation confirming the status of our Clubs and their implementation of the Club Licensing criteria since inception Concacaf earmarked equipment for our clubs which also provided for the BFA to incorporate its solidarity principle whereby all clubs would receive all or some of the following items:
The first edition of the BFA Club Licensing Program was instituted in 2017. The Clubs were required to provide information on specific areas including the legal structure of their club, financial status, administrative structure, competition and youth development, first aid and SCARS certification being part of the information process. The next round of licensing will take place this year (2019) whereby clubs will be required to show continuity and improvements since the implementation of the Club Licensing Program. Licenses will be awarded to those clubs that meet the established criteria.
