Cougars capture League Title

Devonshire Cougars captured the 2008/09 league football title on Sunday, when they drew with North Village Rams, in the final league match of the season. Under the guidance of first year head coach Devarr Boyles, Cougars captured their second league title in (3) years on their home field.

Cougars players and fans really started their celebration last week at the Southampton Rangers Oval, when they defeated PHC (2-1) giving them a substantial goal difference ahead of then second place Dandy Town Hornets. Before their match was over, word spread like wild fire when Boulevard Blazers defeating the Hornets (1-nil). From that moment on, players and fans rejoiced knowing they captured the league title for the second time in three years during their club history.
Congratulations to the Devonshire Cougars, as they are the 2008/09 League Champions.
