All-Star Football Match
The 2007/08 All-Star football match will take place next week Wednesday, May 7th at the National Sports Centre field. This special event will feature Bermuda’s top players from the just concluded football season that will produce a total of (72) players lacing up their boots one more time representing the Premier and First Division leagues. The (2) divisions will comprise of (36) players, with Clubs submitting (3-4) names to the head coaches who won the league during the regular season or who came first in the East or West divisions.
Jack Castle will head up the West in the Premier division, while Elliott Jennings, will spearhead the East. In the First division, Janeiro Tucker, will oversee the West and Meshach Wade will call the shots for the East.
This All-Star match is promising to bring out the best in our players performance, as this will be a time for them to shine amongst the best of the best in Bermuda. Not only will this be an exciting All-Star, but this will provide an opportunity for players and opposing coaches to come together as one, for we are “Family of Football.”
The All-Star game will be showcased with a double header performance on the Southern field of the National Sports Centre, Wednesday of next week starting at 6pm with the First Division, followed by the Premier Division at 8pm.
So come and see some of the islands future players of tomorrow, this will be an All-Star match you don’t want to miss. Admission is FREE.
Players have been asked to report to the Stadium (1) hour prior to kickoff time.
