Somerset Trojans (U-15) youth team walked away with two pieces of silverware as, their season came to an end today, when they defeated St. David’s Warriors (4-1) in the finals of the Knock Out Cup, played at the northern field of the National Sports Centre (NSC).
Trojans opened their account within the first (15) minutes of play going ahead (1-nil) until half time. In the second half, Trojans struck again, going ahead (2-nil). However the Warriors never game up therefore they pulled one back to make the score (2-1). Somehow the Trojans turned their volume from that point forward, as they scored (2) goals within a (10) minute span, putting the game out of reach. Once the third goal was scored, the Warriors lost their momentum, but when the Trojans scored their fourth goal, the wind was taken out of their sail.
This was a successful season for the Trojans, they not only were crowned champions in the K.O. finals, but went undefeated during the regular league season winning all of their games.
