The Bermuda Football Association has accepted an invitation by the Guadeloupe Football Association to enter an international tournament in April 2009. The tournament is being hosted by the Guadeloupe FA, that will consist of (9) teams, including Bermuda will compete from April 7th-11th.
Olympic Marseille, Nancy and Caan from the French liga 1 and international squads from Barbados, Haiti, French Guyana, Martinique, Bermuda and the host country Guadeloupe.
This event is in accordance with the BFAs strategic goals for improving the “competitiveness of Bermuda’s football” by giving our young players the opportunity to compete with some of our CONCACAF partners along with exposing our players to some top-class French Academy teams recently witnessed in the Clyde Best Invitational event held last week.
Players born in 1991/92 will be asked via their clubs to be nominated to the BFA to start training for the event immediately. If any further clarification is needed by players and or parents, they should contact the BFA directly.
