BFA field near completion
The Bermuda Football Association, (BFA) is in its final stages of completion of their new training facility in Prospect, Devonshire on the (FIFA) Goal Project.

Dr. Eric Harrison, consultant to (FIFA) was on the island inspecting the third of the four stage process at the former Gym field. Dr. Harrison gave his approval of the third stage and now it will be a matter of time before the final stage has come to fruition later this month, weather permitting.
This new state of art artificial synthetic surface has an (8) year warranty with Field Turf, who are currently working with Smith, Hauling & Excavating, who have been working on the project since day one.

For the past (20) years, Dr. Harrison has been going about inspecting fields for the English FA, and since the year ( 2000), he has been a consultant for (FIFA), the governing body of football. During a (12) month span, he lives out of his suitcase at least (10) of those months traveling throughout the world inspecting fields.

The (FIFA) Goal Project was to be completed by the fall of this year; however with a few challenges along the way, the project is near completion.

This new facility will become the associations new Technical Centre for football throughout Bermuda paving the way as it will supplement existing facilities, allowing the BFA to run its development programmes yearly and providing a valuable training resource for all national teams whenever required. This also includes clubs who would like to train/practice. The facility will have floodlights as well. This will be an historical moment for the BFA because this will be the first ever field facility they can house its own training and development programmes.

Dr. Harrison will return in the New Year to sign off on the new facility for the Bermuda Football Association.
