Knights score late equalizer against the Hogges

Bermuda Hogges FC and visiting Brooklyn Knights played to a 1-1 at the BAA field in the USL PDL league.

With four minutes remaining in regulation time, Brooklyn Knights found the equalizer from the penalty spot as both teams came away with one point each after the final whistle had blown. Both teams had their chances throughout the match but could not finish.
 
In the 69 minute Hogges went ahead 1-0, after Domico Coddington was fouled inside the 18 yard box. Once the referee consulted with his assistant he pointed to the penalty spot. Mid-fielder Angelo Simmons made no mistake as he calmly placed the ball in the back of the net.
 
Meanwhile, Hogges defender Tyrell Burgess received a red card in the 44 minute after bringing down Stefan Dimitrov just outside the 18 yard box. Hogges maintained their composure and from this point forward and were able to move the ball in the mid-field.
 
The second-half saw both teams attack with style and open passing. But they were unlucky to finish their attack.
 
In the 73 minute Kyle McTurk was given his marching orders when he was shown his second yellow card. Both teams were now reduced to 10 men.
 
The Hogges could have doubled the lead when in 76 minute when Troy Tucker took a well taken shot inside the 18 yard box only to shoot directly at the goalkeeper.
 
With four minutes remaining in regualtion time or in the 86 minute Brooklyn Knights were awarded a penalty when Hogges defender Roger Lee blocked a shot but the ball rolled onto his hands. Forward, Stefan Dimitrov converted from the spot to level the score 1-1.
 
Team Captain Antwan Russell received a severe knock 10 minutes in the first-half which led to him being substituted in the 14 minute by Domico Coddington.
 
Hogges have now earned 2 points from their first two league games of the season while the Knights remain undefeated with two wins and one draw.
