Honorary Vice President Mr. Charles Marshall gives back to BFA
Honorary Vice President Mr. Charles Marshall as part of his ongoing commitment and support of the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) and football generally has earmarked $15,000.00 to be equally shared among all clubs with established youth teams during the past 2011 – 2012 season. Also included in this initiative is the Bermuda Referee Association (BRA). As you may or may not be aware Mr. Marshall was one of Bermuda’s long serving referees who served the BFA both domestically and internationally with distinction.
According to BFA records for the just concluded 2011-2012 season the following sixteen (16) clubs participated in at least one or more youth divisions:
Western Stars SC, Devonshire Recreation Club, North Village CC, Pembroke Hamilton Club, Robin Hood FC, Somerset Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers SC, St. David’s CC, St. Georges CC, Bermuda Athletic Association, Devonshire Colts FC, Hamilton Parish Workmen’s Club, Paget Community FC, Somerset Bridge RC, Wolves SC, Young Men’s Social Club.
Therefore, the above sixteen clubs together with the BRA will each receive equal share of the $15,000.00 in the amount of $882.35 payable by cheque or direct bank transfer. In order to begin processing the payments and keeping with Mr. Marshall’s request for full accountability of the funds the following must be adhered to by all clubs:
· The funds must only be used toward and relating to youth only programs within your respective club.
· The attached form must be completed entirely and returned to the BFA Office for approval before the funds will be paid to your club.
· A final report including the submission of invoices regarding the usage of the funds must be submitted to the BFA.
· Funds will only be paid to your club’s registered bank account on file with the BFA or cheques written only in the name of the Club. Payments will not be made in the name of any club official or other personnel or organization.
