The Bermuda Football Association, (BFA) lost one of its playing members yesterday, Monday, June 29th. Jeremy DeShields, full-back for the Devonshire Cougars sadly passed away on his job from what is believed to have been a heart attack.
Jeremy played his entire football career for Devonshire Cougars beginning with their Minor Division team and worked his way up to the senior team. He became a regular fixture in the Devonshire Cougars senior team as a defender. However, this past season he only played in a few games for the team.
On behalf of the entire family of the Bermuda Football Association we express our heart-felt condolences to the DeShields family as well as the Devonshire Recreation Club family. He will be sorely missed in the local football and sports community.
