Dandy Town Football Club walked away with a double dose of MVP Awards, as the Bermuda Football Association held their 9th edition of the Bermuda FA Awards at the North Field Pavilion at the National Sports Center. Striker, Raymond Beach of Dandy Town Hornets, and Jenay Edness of Dandy Stars received the coveted prize of Male and Female Player of the Year awards. Other winners included, Somerset Hurricanes, awarded Fair Play Female Team, whilst BAA won the Male Award. Meanwhile, Sharfia Crockwell of Lady Cougars was voted Female Goalkeeper of the Year, and for a second year running Hamilton Parish goalkeeper Nigel Burgess was voted Male Goalkeeper of the Year. And it was Ebonie Burgess of Lady Cougars and Ajani Gibbons from the Boulevard Blazers collecting Female and Male Defenders of the Year. Male and Female Coach of the year went to Devarr Boyles of Devonshire Cougars and Paulos of Lady Cougars.
In total, (17) awards were presented, (5) in the Men’s division, (5) in the Women’s division, (2) in the Referee’s category and (5) in individual awards. to the outstanding Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Most Improved Referee of the Year, Young Male and Female Player of the Year, Leading Goal Scorer, Best Defender and Best Goalkeeper. Also, the Male and Female Fair Play Team Awards was presented to Bermuda Athletic Association and Somerset Hurricanes.
