Bermuda climbs in FIFA Rankings
Bermuda moved (29) spots up the ladder in the FIFA rankings for the month of July. It was only in January of this year that Bermuda was ranked (147) in the world prior to the start of the World Cup qualifying matches against the Cayman Islands and most recently Trinidad and Tobago.
By April, they started to make a move when they climbed (8) spots then by July of this month a significant climb came when Bermuda moved (21) spots in only a (3) month span This was largely due to the fact that we beat Trinidad & Tobago Soca Warriors, during the first leg of the World Cup Qualifier in Trinidad & Tobago (2-1).
Overall, the highest FIFA ranking for Bermuda was (58) December, 1992, while the lowest FIFA ranking was (185) in December, 1998. The best mover was (+41) spots in September of 1995, while the worst mover was (-40) in October, 1995.
