12 year old Shachkell Burrows, of Young Men’s Social Club, is your winner in the juggling competition that was held during the All-Star half time festivities.
Burrows not only dominated the event but truly made it look rather easy as he put his opponents to shame. It was evident when he was the last person standing with time on his side; he not only demonstrated his skill and technique but raised the bar by balancing the ball on his right foot with the ball yet to hit the ground.
It helps when your Father is Meshach Wade, one of the islands most outstanding players of his time. Wade is arguably one of the best all-round talented players Bermuda offers and it clearly showed he has passed on some of his knowledge to his son.
Congratulations to Shachkell Burgess, the 2008 Men's All-Star juggling champion.
Meanwhile Cheyra Bell, midfielder for "Lady Cougars" and a (5) veteran of the National Women's team captured the ladies title when she sent a clear message by dominating her division. Bell was able to hold her own; she not only outperformed the ladies but she showed a few good men how to maintain the art of juggling, when they dropped out of the contest.
Congratulations to Cheyra Bell, the 2008 Women’s All-Star juggling champion.
