BFA President's Message
President reflect's on the 2007/08 season
The BFA and the Family of Football have seen a very busy football season 2007/08. All the serious domestic football has been completed. The League Championships have been won, the relegation and promotion spots have been decided, the Cup Competitions have been decided and we have had youth, womens’ and girls’ All Star matches!!! Now, over the next few weeks we will see some fun events for us as we close out our domestic football season. Additionally, we will have some important international matches!!
Premier Division and First Division All-Star matches
On Wednesday evening we will have a great time at the inaugural Premier Division and First Division All-Star matches at the NSC. It will be a fantastic opportunity to see the All Star teams from east and west come together to be coached by the wining Club coaches in that group of teams. The evening is designed for fun and what fun we will have.
The Premier Division West will be coached by PHC Coach (Jack Castle) with players from SCC Trojans, Ire. Rangers, PHC, Dandy Town.
The Premier Division East will be coached by NVCC Coach (Elliott Jennings) with players from Devonshire Cougars, North Village, Boulevard, Devonshire Colts.
The First Division East will be coached by Hamilton Parish Coach (Meshach Wade) with players from St Georges, Wolves, St Davids, X-Rds, Ham Parish
The First Division West will be coached by Southampton Rangers Coach (Janeiro Tucker) with players from Somerset Eagles, Southampton, Paget, YMSC, BAA, Prospect.
All players are asked to report to the NSC one hour prior to kick-off of their match.
Admission is free also so we hope to have a large crowd come out and support the matches.
BFA National Juggling Champion
Who can ‘keep the ball up’ the longest in Bermuda!!
The BFA will host a juggling Competition “Juggling Champion of the Year” during the All-Stars matches. Each club will be asked to send one representative to enter the competition - Premier Division (8 teams), First Division (11 teams) and Womens’ (7 teams). During the halftime of the first match and before the start of the second match there will be two rounds of the competition and then the finals will be held at half time during the second match.
The BFA will crown a male and female “Juggling Champion of the Year” and award some nice prizes!!
So when the whistle blows we challenge you to ‘keep that ball up’!!!
BFA Annual Awards Ceremony
The BFA will host the Annual Awards Ceremony at on Thursday, 22 May at NSC Pavillion at the North Fields. This is an important event for the Family of Football as it is the time when the football recognizes the achievements of all those that make the football season happen!! The clubs, players and the coaches. We have had an exciting football season this year – so who will be crowned the MVPs of the year, the Defensive Player of the Year, the Young Player of the Year, Best Striker, the Best Goalkeeper?
Who will win the trophies and the prizes? The admission is free and there will be refreshments!! Come and join the Family of Football at its Annual Awards Ceremony.
