North Village Rams Ladies and Lady Cougars were entertained by their sponsor for a cocktail reception
Freisnbruch and Meyer, sponsor for the Women’s Football league, held a cocktail reception last Friday evening at thier office for North Village Lady Rams, winners of the league and FA Cup Champions, Lady Cougars on a stella performance during the 2007/08 season.
Freisnbruch and Meyer were so pleased with the overall performance during the regular season in the Women’s division for this being their first year as title sponsor.
Greggory Grimes, 2nd Vice President of the Bermuda Football Association and Chairman of the Women’s League had nothing but kind words to say and thanks thier sponsor.
On behalf of the BFA, Lady Cougars and Lady Rams I would like to thankyou and the Freisenbruch-Meyer family for hosting us on Friday evening.I’m sure I speak on behalf of all the players and BFA it was amagnificent evening.
It was great news to hear Mr. Freisenbruch say Freisenbruch-Meyer were
going to continue with sponsoring women’s football for the 2008\09
season.
The season has ended but the Women’s Committee have already begun preparations for the next season. We have met with the new Technical Director Mr. Derek Broadley and he shares our vision to increase participation in both girls and women playing the game.
With the recent launch of our website and addition of a Program Director we intend to do a better job of getting th message out that there is a vibrant girls’ and women’s program in Bermuda. The All-Star matches was a true testament to that.
In closing thanks again for a wonderful evening Friday and I look forward to working with you and the Freisenbruch-Meyer family in the improvement and promotion of the girl’s and women’s game in Bermuda.
